Spain is one of the countries with the most abundant sunlight in Europe, with an average annual sunshine duration of about 3000 hours and abundant solar energy resources. In order to achieve these goals, this new energy strategy outlines a plan to achieve a cumulative installed capacity of 214GW of various energy facilities in the power sector by 2030. Among them, 160GW comes from renewable energy generation facilities, and 22GW comes from various forms of energy storage systems.
