The figures show that the UAE's renewable energy generation has grown exponentially over the past few years. In 2009, renewable energy generation was only 6.3 GWh, but in 2019, it reached 3,79.7 GWh, of which 3,550 GWh was solar photovoltaic generation and about 229.7 GWh was solar thermal generation.
